(A) Primary responsibilities. A general laborer helps fill the gaps of coverage in all departments.
(B) Essential job-related responsibilities. The job duties performed will vary by department assignment. Basic duties will likely include, but are not limited to: mowing; building maintenance; custodial duties; assisting at water or sewage plants; and the like. This job will include any tasks deemed necessary and assigned by the Mayor, or current assigned Supervisor. Departmental assignments and job responsibilities are likely to be frequent.
(C) Qualifications. A general laborer shall have a high school diploma, or GED equivalent; be able to read, write, and speak fluent English; possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license; and be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
