The MCHO acts in an advisory capacity in zoning matters as specified in Title 16 of this code and applicable state statute. The MCHO shall also have the following general powers, duties, and responsibilities:
A. Conduct public hearings as required by law relating exclusively to request for variation of the adopted zoning regulations of McHenry County.
B. Make recommendations and produce findings of fact reports as they relate to specific requests for zoning variation.
C. A findings of fact report and recommendation shall be submitted to the county board within ninety (90) days of the close of a public hearing.
