§ 15.40.140 DESIGNATION.
   The McHenry County Board, upon a recommendation from the Commission that the proposed landmark or preservation district should be designated, shall review the report and recommendations of the Commission. The McHenry County Board may schedule a public hearing, when the Board deems it necessary, concerning the proposed designation and shall provide notice of any public hearing in the same manner as provided in § 15.40.110. The McHenry County Board after reviewing the report and recommendation shall within sixty (60) days from receipt of the recommendation of the Commission take one of the following steps:
   A.   Designate the landmark or preservation district by ordinance; or
   B.   Refer the report and recommendation back to the Commission with suggestions for revisions stating its reason for such action.
