A. It shall hereby be declared a nuisance to maintain, store, keep or permit an inoperable motor vehicle on any public or private property within McHenry County, Illinois for a period of seven (7) days or more.
B. Upon observation of an inoperable motor vehicle upon public or private property, the McHenry County Sheriff’s Police Department enforcement officer shall issue a notice directing the owner, occupant or party in control of the real property and/or the owner of the vehicle in question to remove the inoperable motor vehicle within ten (10) days. If such inoperable motor vehicle is not removed after the lapse of ten (10) days from the issuance of such notice, the McHenry County Sheriff is authorized to remove said inoperable vehicle. The owner, occupant or party in control of the real property and/or the owner of the vehicle in question shall pay the cost of such removal.
