§ 2.56.050 FEE TO ASSIST IN FINANCING THE COURT SYSTEM.
   A.   Pursuant to state law, the Clerk of the Circuit Court shall charge and collect:
      1.   A $5 fee to be paid by the defendant on a judgment of guilty or a grant of supervision for violation of the Illinois Vehicle Code other than § 11-501 or violations of similar provisions contained in county or municipal ordinances committed in the county, and up to a $30 fee to be paid by the defendant on a judgment of guilty or a grant of supervision for a violation of § 11-501 of the Illinois Vehicle Code or a violation of a similar provision contained in county or municipal ordinances committed in the county.
      2.   A fee of $5 in all civil cases filed in the county.
      3.   A fee to be added to all fines imposed under § 5-9-1 of the Unified Code of Corrections, as follows:
         a.   For a felony: $50;
         b.   For a Class A misdemeanor: $25;
         c.   For a Class B or Class C misdemeanor: $15;
         d.   For a petty offense: $10; and
         e.   For a business offense: $10.
   B.   The Clerk of the Circuit Court shall commence the charges and collection upon written notice from the Chairperson of the County Board that the County Board has acted to establish the fees.
   C.   The fees shall be in addition to all other fees and charges assessed by the Circuit Court and shall be remitted monthly by the Clerk of the Circuit Court to the County Treasurer for deposit in the County General Fund and be used to finance the court system in the county.
