A. The emergency telephone system board of McHenry County, Illinois shall consist of thirteen (13) members, appointed on the basis of their experience and ability and who represent public safety agency 9-1-1 users.
B. Nine members of the emergency telephone system board shall be representatives of an emergency dispatch center which provides either fire protection service and/or police protection service and/or emergency medical/rescue service.
1. One member of the board shall be a representative of the McHenry County police chiefs’ association.
2. One member of the board shall be a representative of the McHenry County fire chiefs’ association.
3. One member of the board shall be a representative of the McHenry County EMA.
4. One member of the board shall be a public member who is a member of the local exchange territory included in the 9-1-1 coverage area, preferably with a background in finance.
C. All members of the emergency telephone board shall be appointed by the McHenry County board upon recommendation from the authorized representative agency.
