§ 2.24.120 APPROPRIATION—LEVY OF TAXES.
   The McHenry County Board may make an appropriation for EMA purposes in the manner provided by law, and may include taxes for the County EMA purposes in its general corporate levy. If authorized by law, the County may levy in addition, or as an alternative to general corporate taxes, for EMA purposes only, a tax not to exceed five (5) cents per one hundred (100) dollars of the assessed value of all taxable property in addition to all other taxes, as provided by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act; however, that amount collectible under such levy shall in no event exceed 25 cents per capita.
