(a) No person under the age of eighteen years shall knowingly show or give false information concerning his name, age or other identification for the purpose of purchasing or otherwise obtaining cigarettes or other tobacco products in any place in the Village where cigarettes or other tobacco products are sold.
(b) It shall be unlawful for any person under eighteen years of age to possess any tobacco product except when said person is under the supervision of the parent or legal guardian on the private property of their home.
(c) Penalties for the possession or use of tobacco products by minors shall be as follows:
(1) First time offense: Oral warning.
(2) Second time offense: Confiscation of tobacco product by police.
(3) Third time offense.
A. Minor will be referred to the Trumbull County Prosecutor’s Office/Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Juvenile Division; and
B. Parents/legal guardian will be notified.
