(a) Any municipal contract providing for construction at or near public highways in the Village shall be examined by the Chief of Police who shall make recommendation to the Mayor regarding the use of a flagman or a traffic patrolman to protect vehicles and/or pedestrians in the area.
(b) In the event a traffic hazard does exist, the contractor shall provide a flagman at his own expense or shall employ off-duty McDonald patrolmen for traffic control at his own expense at union scale.
(c) All contract documents shall provide the provisions contained in this section as a requirement upon all bidders. (Ord. 2175-78. Passed 8-3-78.)
