The firemen shall have the following duties:
(a) The care, custody, maintenance and cleaning of the fire equipment and the entire Municipal Building.
(b) The firemen shall provide for the care and feeding of prisoners at the rate of no more than ten dollars ($10.00) per day.
(c) The firemen shall make all repairs at the Municipal Building, equipment and machinery where tools and facilities will permit them to do so.
(d) The firemen shall be a resident of the Village for at least one year prior to his appointment.
(e) The firemen shall be on duty an average of sixty hours per week.
(f) The firemen and firemen relief men shall come under the direct supervision of the Mayor and he may set the schedule and weekly hours of firemen.
(g) The full-time firemen shall be on duty from Monday 8:00 a.m. through Saturday 8:00 a.m. unless relieved or excused from duty by the Mayor.
(h) The firemen shall operate the police radio, act as jailer for the police department, and perform any other reasonable duties as may be required by the Mayor. (Ord. 2575-91. Passed 4-3-91.)
