139.01 COMPOSITION; APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS.

The Police Department shall be composed of a Chief of Police, a Sergeant and such number of patrolmen and special policemen as may be determined by Council from time to time.

The Chief of Police, Sergeant and all members of the Department shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of Council.
