As used in this chapter:
(a) "Advertisement" includes all information other than a business or individual's name, telephone number and reason for the sign such as "For Sale", "Siding Being Done By", "House Being Constructed By", or other similar reasons.
(b) "Billboard" applies to and includes structures for advertising purposes and display boards, fences and screens used as such, having an area of at least 100 square feet and used for placing letters or illustrations painted, printed, cut or pasted thereon.
(c) "Block" means a square, but shall be held to embrace only that part of a street bounding the square which lies between the two nearest intersections intersecting streets on each side thereon.
(d) "Permanent signs" applies to and includes structures for advertising purposes and display boards, fences and screens used as such, having an area of less than 100 square feet and used for placing letters or illustrations painted, printed, cut or pasted thereon.
(e) "Roof signs" means any billboard, permanent or temporary sign located on or attached to roofs of structure. (Ord. 2695-95. Passed 1-4-95.)
(f) "Temporary accessory signs" applies to signs no more than 16 square feet advertising a price, special, etc., which is in conjunction with the allowable use of the property; or to signs which issue information or warnings to person not to use private property for certain reasons, such as “No Parking”, etc.

(g) "Temporary signs" applies to display boards of no more than thirty-two square feet and is used for placing letters or illustrations, painted, printed, cut or pasted thereof.
(h) "Temporary yard signs" applies to home improvement signs, house for sale or for lease signs, construction signs, political campaign or issues signs and garage sale signs.
(i) "Information signs" applies to semi-permanent signs less than 16 square feet which issue information or warnings such as "Beware of Dog", "No Parking", etc.
