1317.03 AMENDMENTS.
   For the purpose of establishing standards for electrical materials and installations in residential buildings and one, two and three-family industrialized dwelling houses, the National Electrical Code adopted herein is modified by the amendment of the following sections as respectively indicated to conform with Chapters 53 and 75 of the Ohio Building Code.
NEC Section 215-2. Minimum Rating and Size. (Amended)
   Feeder conductors shall have a current rating not smaller than the feeder load as determined by Article 220. A 2-wire feeder supplying two or more 2-wire branch circuits, or a 3-wire feeder supplying more than two, 2-wire branch circuits, or two or more 3-wire branch circuits shall be not smaller than No. 10 except as follows:
   Exception. In a multi-family dwelling, each individual apartment of two or more habitable rooms shall be provided with a feeder sized in accordance with Article 220 but in no case shall the feeder be smaller than 60 ampere, 3-wire.
NEC Section 230-79. Rating of Disconnect. (Amended)
   The service equipment shall have a rating not less than the load to be carried determined in accordance with Article 220. The service disconnecting means shall have a rating of not less than 60 amperes except:
   Exception No. 1: For all dwelling units, the service equipment shall have a rating of not less than 100 amperes. Where multiple switches or circuit breakers are used in accordance with Section 230-70(g) this service equipment shall provide a minimum of 100 amperes of connected overcurrent protection consisting of not less than two 50 ampere, 250 volt, two-pole overcurrent devices.
   Exception No. 2: For installations consisting of not more than two 2-wire branch circuits a service equipment of 30-ampere minimum rating may be used.
