1305.05 CERTIFICATE OF USE AND OCCUPANCY.
   (a)   New Buildings. A building or structure hereafter erected shall not be used or occupied in whole or in part until the Certificate of Use and Occupancy shall have been issued by the Zoning Inspector. Such Certificate of Use of Occupancy shall not be issued until water and sewer connections have been approved by the Village Administrator.
   (b)   Buildings Hereafter Altered. A building or structure hereafter enlarged, extended or altered, in whole or in part, shall not be occupied or used until the Certificate of Use and Occupancy shall have been issued; except that any use or occupancy which was not discontinued during the work or alteration shall require the issuance of a Certificate by the Zoning Inspector within thirty days after completion of the alteration. Such Certificate of Use and Occupancy shall not be issued until water and sewer connections have been approved by the Village Administrator.
   (c)   Temporary Occupancy. Upon request of the holder of a permit, the Zoning Inspector may issue a temporary Certificate of Use and Occupancy for a building or structure, or part thereof, before work covered by the permit shall have been completed, provided such portion or portions may be occupied safely prior to full completion of the building or structure without endangering life or welfare.
   (d)   When a building or structure is entitled thereto, the Zoning Inspector shall issue a Certificate of Use and Occupancy. The certificate shall certify compliance with the provisions of all ordinances. (Ord. 2718-96. Passed 4-17-96.)
