Any certificate of registration issued under the provisions of this chapter shall be kept in the possession and on the person of the itinerant solicitor or itinerant peddler of merchandise or charitable contributions to whom it is issued and upon demand of the Town Manager, any member of the Police Department and/or citizen of the town that the registrant desires to solicit must be produced for examination.
