§ 95.02  TAMPERING WITH STREET MONUMENTS OR MARKERS PROHIBITED; PERMIT.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to remove, move, alter or tamper with, any monuments, stakes, spikes or other means of identification (hereinafter referred to as “monuments”) placed upon a right-of-way of the town for street purposes by officers or employees of the town, or so placed at the direction of officials of the town.
   (B)   If any monument shall cause a hazardous situation or inconvenience, a resident of the town may apply to the Clerk-Treasurer for a permit, to be granted by the Council, to replace or alter the monument, and the Clerk-Treasurer may, in his or her discretion, issue the permit in order to relieve a situation of hazard or extreme inconvenience.
