§ 173.01 GOLF CART OPERATION.
   (A)   The following rules are hereby established for the operation of golf carts in the village.
      (1)    No person shall operate a golf cart which is not capable of sustained speeds of at least 20 miles per hour on the following streets:
         (a)   St. Rt. 613 East and West (Main Street);
         (b)   St. Rt. 235 North and South;
         (c)   St. Rt. 186;
         (d)   Rader Road.
      (2)   Golf carts not capable of sustained speeds of at least 20 miles per hour are hereby permitted to cross the aforementioned streets using the shortest and most direct route between where either the golf cart is unloaded, principally garaged or stored at Shady Acres Golf Course where said cart is used for its intended purpose.
      (3)   Golf carts capable of sustaining speeds of at least 20 miles per hour are hereby permitted to operate on the public streets of the village.
      (4)   The following rules and regulations for the operation of golf carts are hereby established:
         (a)   Golf carts shall be operated only during daylight hours being one-half hour after sunrise to one-half prior to sunset.
         (b)   Golf carts shall be operated on paved portion of roadway as near to right edge of the pavement as conditions permit.
         (c)   Operators must be 16 years of age and must be licensed as specified in the state traffic code.
         (d)   Golf carts must obey traffic laws, stop signs, and the like.
         (e)   Golf carts are required to take a most direct route from its place of storage to Shady Acres Golf Course and back to its storage place.
   (B)   Any operator found in violation of any of these rules and regulations shall be subject to penalty as provided for a minor misdemeanor violation.
