§ 172.31 GAS TAP RATES.
   (A)   Commencing with the effective date of this section, residential gas tap fees shall be $600 per tap installed/inspected by the village gas supplier.
   (B)   Commencing with the effective date of this section, all commercial, business, industrial and all apartment houses consisting of two-family residence or more shall be charged for said gas tap fee upon actual time and material for said installation/inspection but in no event shall said tap fee be less than the cost of a residential tap as set forth in division (A) above.
   (C)   Before any gas tap is installed or inspected, the responsible party shall deposit the sum of $600 with the Clerk-Treasurer of the village, who then shall notify the Gas Department to proceed with said gas tap installation and inspection.
   (D)   Upon final inspection and acceptance of the residential gas tap, the responsible party will be reimbursed for the difference in the actual cost of the tap and the amount deposited. Should the actual cost of the residential gas tap be higher than the amount deposited, the responsible party will be billed for the difference.
   (E)   Any person, firm, corporation, partnership, joint enterprise, co-operative or other entity who fails to secure a permit prior to making a sewer tap, or after securing said permit, fails to comply with the rules and regulations promulgated by the Village Administrator and approved by Council in installing same, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and if found guilty, shall be fined not less than $50 nor more than $500 for each offense.
