The grantee and the city shall at all times comply with all applicable state and federal laws and the applicable rules and regulations of administrative agencies. If the federal communications commission (FCC) or any other federal or state governmental body or agency enacts any law or regulation or exercises any paramount jurisdiction over the subject matter of this chapter or any franchise granted hereunder, the jurisdiction of the city shall cease and no longer exist to the extent such superseding jurisdiction shall preempt or preclude the exercise of like jurisdiction by the city. The city and the grantee reserve all rights they each may possess under law, unless expressly waived herein. (Ord. 755, 8-9-2001)
