For applications for water service upon premises not abutting upon a City main, the City may allow a water service connection from the City's main to the premises a distance equal to the distance from the main to the property line at right angles therefrom, but in no case a distance greater than three hundred feet (300') unless approved by the City Engineer, and allow a metered connection to be made with union and meter assembly meeting the City's standards to a private water service or main installed and maintained by the owner of the premises.
