4.4.9: SIGNS, DESIGNATION, AND INSPECTION:
All vehicles licensed and used by any taxicab business or commercial transportation business shall be designated as such and identifiable by a sign on both sides of the vehicle or by a top light stating that the vehicle is a taxicab or commercial transportation service. The vehicles shall be subject to periodic inspections as required by the insurance carrier in order to ensure that the vehicles and equipment are being maintained in a proper manner for the safety of the public. Copies of the annual inspections must be submitted to the clerk's office upon license renewal. Failure to meet the minimum reasonable standards of safety will cause the vehicle to be ordered out of service until repaired or replaced. (Ord. 938, 12-17-2015)
