§ 131.05 DESIGNATION OF PROSTITUTION-FREE ZONES.
   (A)   The Village President and Board of Trustees may designate one or more areas of the Village meeting the criteria of § 131.04 of this Code to be a prostitution-free zone, based on a written recommendation from the Chief of Police. The Village President and Board of Trustees shall designate such prostitution-free zone(s) by approving, by a vote of a majority of its members, a written description of a zone that identifies the geographic boundaries (using streets and blocks) of said area(s). The designation shall be valid for a period of 3 years.
   (B)   The Chief of Police of the Village is directed to report to the Village President and Board of Trustees at least 90 days before the end of the 3-year period as to whether there is a need to re-authorize or re-configure any prostitution-free zones previously approved. Failure of the Chief of Police to make this report shall not prohibit the Village President and Board of Trustees from re-authorizing or re-configuring any prostitution-free zones.
   (C)   Prostitution-free zones as approved by the Village President and Board of Trustees under this section shall be assigned a number or letter designation (i.e. Zone A), shall be described in writing by their boundaries, and shall be set forth on a map available at the Village of Maywood Police Station, 125 South 5th Avenue, and at the Office of the Village Clerk, 40 Madison Street, that may be handed out to persons subject to exclusion and any other person upon request, and may be otherwise publicized or made available. Prostitution-free zones shall include the entire area on and within the listed boundaries.
