Establishment and dissolution. In 1976, pursuant to the authority granted pursuant to the Housing Authorities Act (310 ILCS 10/1 et seq.), the corporate authorities of the Village of Maywood adopted an ordinance that established the Maywood Housing Authority. On June 9, 2020, the Maywood Housing Authority Board of Commissioners passed Resolution No. 2020-4 (A Resolution of Dissolution of the Maywood Housing Authority), which dissolved the Maywood Housing Authority and transferred the administration of the program to the Housing Authority of Joliet for the reasons set forth in the resolution with an effective date of June 30,2020. A copy of Resolution No. 2020-4 (A Resolution of Dissolution of the Maywood Housing Authority) is on file with the Village Clerk’s Office.
