§ 33.15 BUREAU OF FIRE INVESTIGATION.
   (A)   There is created a Bureau of Fire Investigation within the Maywood Fire Department which shall have the power and duty to investigate the cause and circumstances of fires and explosions which occur within the corporate limits of the Village.
   (B)   In investigating the causes and circumstances of fires and explosions, the members of the Bureau of Fire Investigation shall have the authority to question witnesses, examine premises and to take any other actions which are legally permitted that may be necessary to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding fires and explosions which occur within the corporate limits of the Village.
   (C)   The members of the Bureau of Fire Investigation shall be a Director who shall be the Fire Chief of the Village, and 3 agents, all of whom shall be regularly sworn full-time firefighters of the Village.
   (D)   The Village Manager, after consulting with the Fire Chief, shall appoint the persons who will serve as agents of the Bureau of Fire Investigation.
   (E)   The Director of the Bureau of Fire Investigation and the agents of the Bureau of Fire Investigation shall be conservators of the peace and shall have the powers of conservators of the peace, including all arrest powers as set forth in 65 ILCS 5/3.1-15-25.
