§ 99.13 INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   No tow service operator will be added to the towing list until they have obtained and provided certificates of insurance to the Village Manager specifically evidencing and addressing each of the following types and limits of insurance. Such certificates must be provided annually. Each insurance company must be acceptable to the Village Manager and meet state standards for towing operations.
      (1)   Comprehensive general liability: $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence for bodily injury, personal injury, death and property damage. Minimum general aggregate shall be no less than $2,000,000. A copy of the policy may be required.
      (2)   Public liability: $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence. The minimum general aggregate shall be no less than $2,000,000.
      (3)   Automobile liability: $1,000,000 combined single limit per accident for bodily injury and property damage. The insurance is to be extended to cover hired and non-owned vehicles.
      (4)   Umbrella or excess liability: $2,000,000 per occurrence and in the aggregate.
      (5)   Workers' compensation: to be provided as required by state statute, by an insurance company licensed to write workers' compensation in the state.
      (6)   Garage-keepers liability: covering fire, theft, windstorm, vandalism, and explosion in the amount of $25,000 with each vehicle suffering damage being deemed a separate claim. The minimum general aggregate shall be no less than $2,000,000.
      (7)   Garage liability policy: covering the operation of the tow service operator's business, equipment, or other vehicles for any bodily injury or property damage. This policy shall be in the minimum amount of $250,000 for any 1 person killed or injured, and a minimum amount of $500,000 for more than 1 person killed or injured in any accident and an additional $50,000 for property damage.
   (B)   All insurance policies required by this contract shall be underwritten by insurance companies with a minimum A.M. Best rating of A: VII.
   (C)   The comprehensive general liability, public liability and umbrella or excess liability coverage shall name the Village an additional named insured. All insurance noted above shall be primary and in no event will be considered contributory to any insurance purchased by the Village. All insurance noted above shall not be canceled, reduced, or materially changed without providing the village 30 days advance notice, via certified mail.
