In private residential swimming pools, water circulation system outlets shall be located so as to provide at least 1 outlet at the deepest point of the pool. All pool drain outlets on permanent pools shall be equipped with gratings. Pools shall be equipped with facilities for completely emptying the pool into the sewer. No direct connection shall be made to the sewer. Water drained from the pool shall not be discharged to the sewer system during periods of rain or storms. At no time shall the rate of drain water discharge exceed a flow of 250 gallons per minute.
