§ 94.20 HOUSE NUMBERS.
   (A)   Plat of numbers; assignment. The plat of house and lot numbers on file with the Director of Community Development of the Village and identified by the Director of Community Development as “Lot and House Number Plat of the Village of Maywood” is adopted as the official designation of lot and house numbers in the Village. The Director of Community Development shall have charge of the plat and shall assign to each building erected its proper number as shown thereon.
   (B)   Placement of numbers. It is the duty of the owner, agent or occupant of every building to number the same as provided by the plat provided for in this section. Each of the figures of every number shall be not less than 2-1/2 inches in length so marked as to be easily and distinctly read. The numbers shall be placed in a conspicuous place on or at the side of or above the front door of the buildings to which the same are attached.
   (C)   Refusal to number building. Any agent, owner or occupant of any building erected in the Village, who shall for 30 days neglect or refuse to number any building owned or occupied by him in conformity with the plat referred to shall be subject to a penalty of $100 and a similar penalty for every 30 days thereafter that he shall neglect or refuse to number the building.
