§ 93.08 ANIMAL PERMIT PROCEDURES.
   (A)   Any person owning an animal over 4 months of age must obtain a permit for the animal within 10 days of ownership or of residency. This provision does not apply to caged birds or caged amphibious animals kept as pets.
   (B)   Written application for permit shall be made to the Village which shall include: name, address, and telephone number of applicant, description of animal, the fee, and a valid rabies inoculation certificate for dogs and cats issued by a veterinarian licensed in the State of Illinois.
   (C)   The schedule of animal permit fees are as follows:
      (1)   Animals other than dogs and cats, $10;
      (2)   Neutered dogs and cats, $10;
      (3)   Non-neutered dogs and cats, $10.
   (D)   A permit shall be required for eye seeing dogs or community owned police dogs. No fee shall be required.
   (E)   Non-residents keeping animals no longer than 30 days will not be required to make application for a permit, provided they meet the permit or license requirements of their resident community.
   (F)   No person may obtain a permit for an animal prohibited in the Village pursuant to § 93.09.
   (G)   Each permit issued is for the specific pet listed on the application form. No transfer of permits is permitted. A duplicate permit may be obtained upon payment of a $5 replacement fee.
   (H)   Identification tags must be worn by all dogs and cats.
