§ 92.01 BOARD OF HEALTH.
   (A)   Establishment; members. There is established a Board of Health in and for the Village, which shall be known as the Maywood Board of Health and which shall be composed of the Building Director, who shall be its chairperson, and 6 other members to be selected from among
the residents of the Village, to be appointed by
the President and Board of Trustees at the same time and in the same manner as the other officers of the Village are appointed. The members shall hold office 1/3 for 1 year, 1/3 for 2 years and 1/3 for 3 years from January 1 following their appointment, as designated by the Village President, and annually thereafter the Village President and the Board of Trustees shall, before January 1 of each year, appoint as before 2 members to take the place of the retiring members, who shall hold office for 3 years and until their successors are appointed.
   (B)   Secretary. The Board of Health shall appoint a Secretary from among its own members whose duty it shall be to keep a written record of all meetings of the Board and of all rules, regulations and orders thereof, which record shall be a public record and shall be kept on file in the office of the Building Director and shall be open at all reasonable hours to public inspection.
   (C)   Functions. The Board of Health shall act as an advisory body reflecting community objectives and desires in the field of public health and shall make appropriate studies and investigations for the purpose of presenting recommendations to the Board of Trustees.
   (D)   Meetings. Upon appointment or reappointment of members of the Board of Health, it shall be the duty of the Chairperson to call a meeting for the purpose of electing a Secretary and transacting such other business as may be necessary or expedient. The Board of Health shall hold such meetings as may be deemed advisable upon call of the Chairperson or upon written request of any 2 members filed with the Secretary. It shall be the duty of the Secretary to send to each member of the Board a written notice of any meeting at least 2 days in advance of the date thereof, but notice may be waived by written waivers or consent signed by all members of the Board. Such waivers or consents shall be made a part of the minutes of any such special meeting. Notice of any such meeting shall specify the objects to be considered at such meeting.
