(A) Establishment; name. There is established a free public library and reading rooms for the use of the inhabitants of the Village, which shall be called “The Maywood Public Library.”
(B) Directors. The library shall be governed by 6 library directors elected in the manner provided by 75 ILCS 5/4-1 et seq.
(C) Injuring property. No person shall wilfully or maliciously cut, write upon, injure, deface, tear or destroy any book, newspaper, plate, picture, engraving or other thing of value belonging to the Maywood Public Library, or shall wilfully or maliciously commit any injury upon the ground, building, furniture, fixtures or other property thereof.
(D) Failure to return books. No person shall fail to return any book belonging to the Maywood Public Library, according to the requirements of the bylaws made and adopted by the directors of such library for the government thereof.
