§ 91.02 BUREAU OF FIRE PREVENTION.
   (A)   A Bureau of Fire Prevention in the Fire Department of the Village is established which shall be operated under the supervision of the Chief of the Fire Department.
   (B)   The officer or officers assigned to the Bureau of Fire Prevention, to be known as the Fire Prevention Officer(s), shall be a member or members of the Fire Department designated by the Chief of the Fire Department with approval of the Village Manager. The Fire Prevention Officer(s) and the Bureau of Fire Prevention shall perform such duties as required by the ordinances and codes of the Village and as directed by the Chief or his duly appointed Fire Inspector(s). The Chief, with the approval of the Village Manger, may remove the designated Fire Prevention Officer(s) and designate a replacement or replacements.
   (C)   The Building Director, with Village Manager approval, shall designate such technical inspectors as deemed necessary from the Building and Code Enforcement Department to assist the Fire Prevention Officer(s) and technical inspectors in the performance of their duty.
   (D)   The Fire Chief may designate from time to time personnel of the Fire Department to assist the
Fire Prevention Officer(s) and technical inspectors in the performance of their duty.
   (E)   The Fire Chief shall ensure prompt and efficient submission of reports concerning building and related permits by the Fire Prevention Bureau to the Building and Code Enforcement Department. In the instance of such permits, the Community Development Department shall be the responsible agency. The Building Director shall ensure prompt and efficient submission of reports concerning fire prevention, by duly appointed Building and Code Enforcement Department technical inspectors, to the Fire Prevention Bureau. In the instance of such reports, the Fire Prevention Bureau shall be the responsible agency.
   (F)   Wherever the words Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention are used in the Fire Prevention Code they shall mean the Fire Prevention Officer(s) or Fire Inspector.
   (G)   The Fire Prevention Officer(s) and inspectors of the Bureau of Fire Prevention, for the purpose of enforcing compliance with the provisions of this chapter, and such other Village Code provisions and ordinances dealing with fire prevention or protection, shall have the power to inspect, issue citations, serve process and arrest for violation, and shall have all other powers incidental to the foregoing.
