(A) The Village President shall not make any temporary appointment to any office for a term to exceed 60 calendar days.
(B) Each such temporary appointee, heretofore or hereafter appointed by the Village President, after completing the 60 calendar day term of office, shall not be able to succeed himself or herself in office at any time thereafter nor hold the same or like office without the express majority vote of consent by the Board of Trustees.
(C) As an exercise of its legislative functions as set forth in the Illinois Municipal Code, the Board of Trustees shall set an appropriate salary for each temporary appointee on an individual basis as they see fit based upon budgetary and other important considerations, such salary to be paid to the temporary appointee for a period not to exceed the 60 calendar day term as heretofore set forth.
(D) As an exercise of its legislative functions as set forth in the Illinois Municipal Code and the 1970 Illinois Constitution, the Board of Trustees shall designate the duties, functions and powers of each temporary appointee, such duties, functions and powers to become immediately null and void upon expiration of the 60 calendar day term as heretofore set forth.
