§ 51.14 WATER SERVICE COMMISSION.
   (A)   There is created a Water Service Commission consisting of 5 members who shall serve without compensation. The 5 members shall be the Village Manager, 1 Village resident to be appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees, and the 3 other positions are to be filled by Village staff appointed by the Village Manager. The Village Manager shall serve indefinitely. The Village resident shall serve for a term of 2 years. The Village staff members who are appointed shall serve at the pleasure of the Village Manager.
   (B)   The Commission shall be known as the “Maywood Water Service Commission,” and it shall be the duty of the Commission to convene at the direction of the Village Manager to review the purpose, applicability, and suitability of this chapter and to address and review concerns of Village water and sewer customers. After any review of the purpose, applicability and/or suitability of any provision of the Water and Sewer Service Ordinance, the Commission may make advisory recommendations to the Village President and Board of Trustees. After any review of a customer’s water and/or sewer service concern, the Commission shall make an advisory recommendation to the Village Water Administrator regarding a proposed resolution of the customer’s concern.
   (C)   It shall also be the duty of the Commission to address and provide information and advisory recommendations regarding water and sewer service matters referred to the Commission by the President and Board of Trustees.
