§ 158.25 HISTORIC LANDMARK PLAQUES.
   In order to promote and recognize the landmark designation program, the rich history of the Village, and the landmarked properties themselves, each owner of a property receiving a landmark designation shall receive a historic landmark plaque from the Village free of charge. Historic landmark plaques shall be displayed by the owner in a prominent location on the front façade of the designated property, or at an alternative location on the structure or property as approved by the Commission, all in conformance with historic landmark plaque display guidelines to be adopted by the Commission. Participation through display of the historic landmark plaque is deemed to be important to the success of the Village’s historic landmark designation program, and any owner failing to display the provided plaque in conformance with this section shall be liable to the Village for the costs of creating the plaque.
