§ 51.10 DEPOSIT REQUIRED OF APPLICANT FOR WATER SERVICE.
   (A)   Each applicant for water supply service shall first meet the following deposit requirement:
      (1)   For water service to serve a single-family dwelling, a deposit of $50 shall be required;
      (2)   For water service to serve a two-family dwelling, a deposit of $75 shall be required;
      (3)   For water service to serve a three-family dwelling, a deposit of $125 shall be required;
      (4)   For water service to serve all other residential buildings over 3 families and all other businesses, industrial and commercial buildings, a deposit of $200 shall be required;
      (5)   For any and all water activation services
enumerated in this section, an additional $50 nonrefundable water activation fee shall be required.
   (B)   Such deposits shall be made with the Department of Finance, as security for the payment of water to be used, for which a certificate of deposit shall be issued. Upon surrender of such certificate and the payment of all indebtedness, if any is due, the deposit, less the $50 nonrefundable water activation fee, shall be returned to the depositor, or to his assigns, whenever the Village shall have discontinued the supply of water to such premises, after due notice in writing to the Department of Finance, to do so. Upon such discontinuance, if there be any unpaid indebtedness due the Village for water or material supplied to such premises, the amount of such indebtedness shall be deducted from such deposit, exclusive of the $50 nonrefundable water activation fee.
