§ 52.01 PREVAILING RATE OF WAGES FOR PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS.
   (A)   To the extent and as required by the Prevailing Wage Act, as amended, the general prevailing rate of wages in this locality for laborers, mechanics and other workers engaged in the construction of public works coming under the jurisdiction of this Village is hereby ascertained to be the same as the prevailing rate of wages for construction work in the Cook County area as determined by the Department of Labor of the State of Illinois, as of June 1, 2014, a copy of that determination shall be attached to Ordinance No. CO-2014-22 as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference. The definition of any terms appearing in this section which are also used in the aforesaid Act shall be the same as in the Act.
   (B)   Nothing herein contained shall be construed to apply the general prevailing rate of wages as herein ascertained to any work or employment except public works construction of this Village to the extent required by the aforesaid Act.
   (C)   The Village Clerk, or his or her designee, shall publicly post or keep available for inspection by any interested party in the main office of this Village this determination of such prevailing rate of wages. A copy of this determination or of the current revised determination of prevailing rate of wages in effect shall be attached to all contract specifications prepared by the Village.
   (D)   The Village Clerk, or his or her designee, shall mail a copy of this determination to any employer, to any association of employers and to any person or association of employees who have filed, or file, their names and addresses, requesting copies of any determination stating the particular rates and the particular class of workers whose wages will be affected by such rates.
   (E)   The Village Clerk, or his or her designee, shall promptly file, but in no event later than July 15, 2014 a certified copy of Ordinance No. CO-2014-22 with both the Secretary of State, Index Division, and the Department of Labor of the State of Illinois.
   (F)   The Village Clerk, or his or her designee, shall cause a notice to be published in a newspaper of general circulation within the Village that the determination of prevailing wages has been made. The notice shall conform substantially to the notice attached to Ordinance No. CO-2014-22 as Exhibit B and incorporated herein by reference. This publication shall constitute notice that this is the determination of the Village of Maywood and is effective as of the date of Ordinance No. CO-2014-22.
