§ 158.22 ZONING AMENDMENTS AFFECTING LANDMARKS AND HISTORIC DISTRICTS.
The Director of Community Development shall, whenever possible, advise in writing the Chairperson of the Commission of all applications for zoning amendments affecting designated landmarks and historic districts, including variations, special uses, rezoning, or text amendments to the Zoning Code. The Historic Preservation Commission shall evaluate the effect of the proposed zoning amendment on the landmark or historic district, considering, among other things, compatibility of developments with the long-range preservation of historic structures, sites and areas. The Commission may, in its discretion, present evidence at the public hearing on the proposed zoning amendment either in support or in opposition, or may recommend further study.
