147.02 MEMBERSHIP, TERM AND VACANCY.
   (a)    Membership. The Commission on Aging shall consist of seven members who shall be appointed as follows:
      (1)    The Mayor shall appoint one resident of the Municipality who shall be sixty years of age or older and who shall be a voting member of the Commission;
      (2)    Council, by majority vote, shall appoint four residents of the Municipality who shall be sixty years of age or older, all of whom shall be voting members of the Commission;
      (3)    (EDITOR'S NOTE: This subsection was repealed by Ordinance 87-11, passed May 18, 1987.)
      (4)    The Council President shall appoint one member of Council to serve as a nonvoting member of the Commission. Age shall not be a factor in this appointment.
   (b)    Term.
      (1)    The initial appointment by the Mayor and two of the initial appointments by Council shall serve terms expiring December 31, 1983. The other two appointments by Council shall serve terms expiring December 31, 1984. All subsequent appointments shall be for terms of two years.
      (2)    The initial appointment of a Coordinator by Council shall serve a term expiring December 31, 1983. All subsequent appointments of a Coordinator shall be for a term of two years.
      (3)    The initial appointment of a Council member by the Council President to serve on the Commission shall be for a term expiring December 31, 1983. All subsequent appointments of a Council member shall be for a term of one year.
