131.10 FOOD AND BEVERAGE PURCHASES FOR MEETINGS AND FUND-RAISERS.
   The Mayor is hereby authorized to purchase food and beverages for meetings of any public body, board, commission, public officer(s) or public employee(s), and fund-raising events for obtaining money for the general fund, whenever such meetings and/or fund-raisers are for the purpose of benefiting the taxpayers of the Village, either by way of raising additional monies for the General Fund or some special fund of the Village, or for conducting public business, including employee appreciation and/or recognition, all of which shall be considered as the furthering of a public purpose. The Mayor shall be authorized to spend not more than that amount authorized by Council in the budget from year to year, without additional approval needed from Council, for food and beverage purchases.
