1377.04 TYPE OF SMOKE ALARMS.

Smoke alarms required by Sections 1377.01 and 1377.02 shall be of the photoelectric type. Other types of detectors, including Ionization type detectors, and combination type detectors combining both photoelectric and ionization detection, may be installed as supplementary devices only, and shall not be considered as meeting the intent and requirements of Sections 1377.01 and 1377.02.
