745.05 PERMIT; FEE.
   (a)    No person shall sell or offer for sale, barter or exchange or solicit the purchase of any goods, wares or merchandise in or upon the streets, whether dedicated or undedicated, or other public places within the Municipality, unless he is the holder of a permit, which is in full force and effect and issued pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, which permit such person shall at all times have with him while exercising such calling, and shall exhibit such permit to any police officer or official of this Municipality upon demand.
 
   (b)    Such permit shall be obtained from the Chief of Police, and shall furnish the following information:
      (1)    Full name of registrant and local address, if any;
      (2)    Permanent home address;
      (3)    A physical description of the applicant, setting forth age, height, weight, color of hair and eyes, and sex;
      (4)    Motor vehicle registration number;
      (5)    Social security number, if any;
      (6)    Nature of goods, wares and merchandise offered for sale;
      (7)    Name and address of the firm for or on whose behalf the sales are made;
      (8)    A statement as to the period during which the applicant intends to make such sales; and
      (9)    A specimen of the applicant's signature.
 
   (c)    The Chief of Police or his authorized representative may require that such applicant be fingerprinted and/or photographed for the records of the Police Department to determine the reputation and record, if any, of the applicant.
 
   (d)    Such applicant shall be issued a permit if the Chief of Police or his authorized representative is satisfied as to the authority or employment, bona fide intentions and good reputation of the applicant, and if the applicant is of good moral character.
   (e)    Any permit granted hereunder may be revoked by the Chief of Police for furnishing false information in connection with the registrant's application, or for the subsequent conviction of the registrant of a crime involving moral turpitude, or upon proof that the applicant has been guilty of disorderly conduct, fraud or misrepresentation in connection with his business, or for the violation of any ordinance of the Municipality.

   (f)   The sum as set forth in Chapter 767, Fee Schedule at Section 767.745(a) shall accompany each application for a permit.

   (g)   Every permit shall expire 15 days after the date of its issuance, but may be renewed in the same manner that it was originally issued.
