The members of the Department shall select one of their members as the Training Officer. Selection shall be approved or disapproved by the Council. The Training Officer shall serve until another Training Officer is selected by members of the Department, unless earlier removed by the Council. The office of the Training Officer may be held by any member of the Department, including the Fire Chief or the Assistant Fire Chief. The Training Officer shall have duties respecting the training of fire fighters, fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue, as may be established by the Fire Chief.
