§ 32.02 DESIGNATION OF OFFICERS.
   (A)   The officers of the Fire Department shall consist of Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief, Captain, First Lieutenant and a Secretary/Treasurer. The officers shall be appointed or terminated by a majority vote of the City Council at the regular City Council meetings. The Fire Chief and Assistant Fire Chief may recommend to the City Council for appointment, the individual to hold the office of First Lieutenant.
   (B)   The Chief shall operate the Volunteer Fire Department under the direction of the Mayor. Officers are appointed for a two-year term. Appointment of officers shall be made during a regular City Council meeting held in April of each even numbered year. Should an appointed officer leave the Department, recommendation to fill that office shall be made at the next regular City Council meeting.
