The members of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners shall have such qualifications as are now, or may hereafter be, required of them by law. Each member of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners shall take oath or affirmation of office and shall execute and deliver to the Village Clerk a bond in the sum of such sureties as the President and Board of Trustees shall require, conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of his or her office. The members of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners shall be subject to removal from office in the same manner as other officers of the municipality.
