3-1-2: LOCAL LIQUOR CONTROL COMMISSIONER:
   A.   Village President As Commissioner; Assistant:
      1.   The president of the board of trustees of the village shall be the local liquor control commissioner and shall be charged with the administration of the appropriate provisions of this chapter and all such ordinances and resolutions relating to alcoholic liquor as may be enacted.
      2.   The president of the board of trustees may appoint a person or persons to assist him in the exercise of the powers and performance of the duties provided for such liquor control commissioner.
   B.   Powers And Duties: The liquor control commissioner shall have the following powers, functions and duties with respect to licenses: (1993 Code § 3-1-11)
      1.   To grant and/or suspend for not more than thirty (30) days or revoke for cause or for the violation of any of the provisions of this chapter, all liquor licenses issued to persons, corporations, or all licensees for premises within the village. (1993 Code § 3-1-11; amd. 2016 Code)
      2.   To enter or authorize any law enforcing officer to enter at any time upon any premises licensed hereunder to determine whether any of the provisions of this chapter have been or are being violated.
      3.   To receive complaint from any citizen within its jurisdiction that any of the provision of this chapter, or the rules or regulations adopted pursuant hereto, have been or are being violated, and to act upon such complaints in the manner hereinafter provided.
      4.   To receive liquor license fees and pay the same forthwith to the village treasurer. In the event the license applied for is denied, the fee shall be deposited in the general corporate fund or in such other fund as shall have been designated by the village board.
   C.   Reference To Commissioner: When in this chapter, the liquor control commissioner shall be referred to, it shall include any person, committee or other agency appointed by such commissioner.
   D.   License Revocation Authority: The liquor control commissioner may revoke any license issued by him if he determines that the licensee has violated any of the provisions of this chapter or any of the laws pertaining to the sale of alcoholic liquor. (1993 Code § 3-1-11)
