A. Collection Fee: The garbage collection fee for each residential property located in the Village shall consist of a fee of seventeen dollars fifty cents ($17.50) per month per property for garbage pick up. The charge of seventeen dollars fifty cents ($17.50) per month, or such other charges as may be approved by the board of trustees of the Village, shall be added to the water bill due for each residential property located within the Village of Matherville. All fees for garbage and refuse collections shall be due and payable along with the water bill on the twentieth day of the month.
B. Delinquent Accounts: All accounts shall be considered delinquent if not paid within thirty (30) days after the date of the bill. All delinquent accounts are subject to the stoppage of service after a notice mailed at least seven (7) days prior to the users. For customers using both collection sendee and water/sewer, both services maybe terminated for not paying either service. Service shall be resumed thereafter only on payment of the accumulated fees for the period of collection and the period of noncollection, along with a delinquent penalty of up to one hundred percent (100%) of the bill.
1. Shutoff Of Services: Concurrently a delinquency under the Village Water and Sewer Ordinance for services, or delinquency under this chapter for services can result at the discretion of the Village of a shutoff of both services per the respective ordinances.
2. Legal Remedy: The stoppage of collection/water services herein-before authorized for nonpayment of collection charges shall be in addition to the right of the Village to proceed for the collection of such unpaid charges in the manner provided by law for the collection of a municipal claim.
