777.01 CLOSURE OR PERMANENT CESSATION OF HOSPITAL OPERATIONS.
   (a)   Prior to the closing or permanent cessation of the operations of any hospital or acute care inpatient facility located within the corporation limits of the City of Massillon, the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Operating Officer of the entity that either owns or directly operates said facility located in the City of Massillon, shall provide written notice to the Law Director of the City of Massillon of the anticipated date of closure or permanent cessation of operations. Said written notice to the Law Director of the City of Massillon shall not be less than one hundred twenty (120) days prior to the date of the anticipated closure or permanent cessation of operations.
   (b)   During the entire length of the one hundred twenty (120) day notice period of section (a), the hospital or acute care inpatient facility shall continue all of its operations and continue to accept new patients and continue all clinical operations.
   (c)   Prior to the closing or permanent cessation of the operations of any hospital or acute care inpatient facility located within the corporation limits of the City of Massillon, and during the one hundred twenty (120) day notice period of subsection (a), the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Operating Officer of the entity that either owns or directly operates said facility shall make all necessary efforts to coordinate with designated representatives of the City of Massillon to arrange for and prepare for the orderly transition of patient care, the transition of emergency medical response transport tactics and training, and allow for physicians, nurses, and other professional staff to coordinate patient care issues and medical records transition for all affected patients.
