(a) All Fire Suppression systems are required to be maintained in accordance with the applicable portion of the Ohio Fire Code and/or applicable City Ordinances.
(b) Agencies within the City Limits that have fire suppression systems are responsible for maintaining current contact information with the Massillon Fire Department.
(c) In the event a fire suppression system is found to be out of order, in physical disrepair, or malfunctioning in such a way as to cause damage to the property or its contents; the Massillon Fire Department will shut down the system in order to minimize damage to the property and attempt to contact the property owner or his representative.
(d) Once contact has been made with the property owner or his representative, that person assumes responsibility for either establishing a fire watch until the system is repaired or otherwise complying with the Ohio Fire Code in terms of mitigating the situation.
(e) If the Massillon Fire Department is unable to make contact with the property owner or his representative; it will establish a fire watch for the property owner until such time as the notification in subsection (d) hereof can be made. The property owner shall bear the entire expense of maintaining this fire watch and shall be billed accordingly.
