1511.09 PROHIBITED OPEN BURNING.
   (a)   No person or property owner shall cause or allow open burning except as provided in this ordinance.
   (b)   If a recreational fire creates or adds to a hazardous or objectionable situation, the Massillon Fire Department shall order the fire extinguished.
   (c)   Recreational fires are not allowed when air pollution warnings, alerts or emergencies are in effect.
   (d)   Fires cannot obscure visibility of roadways, railroad tracks or air fields.
   (e)   Garbage, yard waste, materials containing rubber, grease, asphalt or any material made from petroleum (such as tires, cars, auto parts, plastic or plastic coated wire) and dead animals cannot be burned at any time.
   (f)   If a fire is not a recreational fire, or a fire that a permit from the Ohio EPA is required and no permit is issued, the Massillon Fire Department shall order the fire extinguished. A report of the incident shall then be forwarded to the Ohio EPA.
