713.01 DEFINITIONS.
   (a)   "Auctioneer" means one who is licensed by the State as an auctioneer.
 
   (b)   "Apprentice auctioneer" means one who is licensed by the State as an apprentice auctioneer.
 
   (c)   "New merchandise" means all goods, wares, and merchandise not previously sold at retail.
   (d)   "New merchandise public-auction sale" means the offering for sale or selling of new merchandise to the highest bidder or offering for sale or selling of new merchandise at a price and then offering the same at successive lower prices until a buyer is secured.
 
   (e)   "Auction house" means any building owned within which auctions will be periodically conducted on a regular basis.
 
   (f)   "Auction" means a sale, or offering for sale to the highest bidder of any goods, wares or merchandise in any building upon a premises, or in any street or in any other public place where any and all persons who choose are permitted to attend and offer bids.
   (g)   "Auction of a continuing nature" means more than once in the same place, and by the same auctioneer within a given year.
